New programs may not automatically be featured as buttons. To ensure that all new programs are presented click on the "refresh" button which is a part of your normal browser.
Genres, programs and archives are explained in the program guide.
You need Windows Media Player version 6.4 or later to view the programs. You may have an older version of Windows Media Player. Banana TV requires Windows Media Player 6.4 or later. We recommend using Media Player 7.0 or later if it is supported by your computer's operating system.
To check the version of Media Player you are running, open up the Windows Media Player application, and select "About" from the Help menu. If you have an earlier version of Media Player, you can download the latest version for free here.
Also make sure that you have selected the correct bandwidth for your type of connection (see next item).
If the video playback is jumpy, or it constantly switches from playback to the "buffering" message, then either your line is not capable of carrying the program at the speed you have selected, or your ISP's links is congested.
You can only watch the broadband (hi bandwidth) transmissions from Banana TV if you have a broadband connection (such as a cable modem, ADSL or fast corporate connection). Otherwise you should select the lo bandwidth option. If you have selected the correct transmission speed for your type of connection, your internet service provider's link may be congested. Try viewing at a less busy time of the day. If the problem persists, contact your ISP and let them know of the problem.
You need to change your display colour setting from 8 bits to 16 bits (thousands of colours) or better in your computer's control panel.
If you are using a corporate connection, check with your system administrator that there are no restrictions on streaming media such as that used by Banana TV.
If you are watching Banana TV from an office, your company may have a firewall that is blocking streaming media from being received. Some companies don't allow streaming media through their firewall as a matter of policy. Speak to your IT support staff to see what your company allows.
